Al Dosariyah castle is located in the city of Jizan on top of a mountain overlooking the Red Sea port. It is a square military building that was built in 1225 AH. Located on the highest peaks of the city, the castle has an area of approximately 900 square meters. It consists of two floors and four cylindrical towers giving protrusion to its external shape, and its walls are interspersed with small openings to monitor and protect the area. During the reign of His Majesty King Abdulaziz, may his soul rest in peace, the castle has undergone renovation to become a headquarters of the Saudi army. Today, the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage is undertaking restoration works to turn it into a unique heritage site.
